Triple chocolate brownies

So girls, I think we can all agree that no-one can go wrong with a brownie, so, let’s crank up the chocolate factor a little. Here’s a recipe for triple chocolate brownies, which has obviously been tried and tested by yours truly.

What you’ll need:

185g unsalted butter

185g best dark chocolate

85g plain flour

40g cocoa powder

50g white chocolate (I used milky bar)

50g milk chocolate

3 large eggs

275g golden caster sugar

A little icing sugar for dusting

Firstly, place the butter and dark chocolate in a bowl, and place the bowl over a saucepan of boiling hot water stirring the ingredients until they have melted. Preheat the oven to 160◦C/Gas Mark 4. Line a 20cm square baking tin, with grease-proof paper.

Next, sieve the flour and cocoa powder into a mixing bowl, ensuring there are no lumps. Chop the white and milk chocolate into chunks and add to the flour and cocoa powder mixture. Beat the eggs and sugar into the mixture either with a wooden spoon or an electric mixer, until the mixture has achieved a milkshake-like consistency.

Now, pour the melted chocolate and butter into your mixture, and mix it all together until the mixture reaches a thick, mousse-like consistency.

Then, pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin, and place in preheated for 25 mins. The brownies should have a shiny coating on the top when they are ready.

Finally, when the brownies are baked, take them out the oven and wait for them to cool. When they have cooled down enough, cut the brownies into equal squares, and dust with a little icing sugar. Enjoy ladies!

Final thought: These brownies are to die for. The recipe is so simple, and creates a brilliant result. They are the ultimate snack to indulge in!
