We all suffer with some form of stress on a daily basis, whether it is physically or mentally. Unfortunately we can’t always control the sources of stress in our lives, but we can change how we react to them. Yoga has also been shown to have similar benefits, as it reinforces the “mind-body connection,” this improves how you feel about your body and also helps with sleep and controlling anxiety. 2. Meditation.
Meditation is a proven stress reliever, as it will help you deal with worry, anxiety and finding peace of mind. This is an easy one to do as it can be done at any time of the day in your own home, so if you have a busy schedule and there’s no time to get down to the gym meditation is always a go to stress reliever.
3. Acupuncture.
If you’re not a lover of needles this might not be the one for you. Acupuncture has been increasingly used to treat many stress-related conditions, including: psychiatric disorders, autoimmune or immunological-related diseases, infertility, anxiety and depression. Research has found that the acupuncture treatments result in changes in the cardiovascular and immune systems. So start getting those needles ready, to pull out all the stress from your body.

Having a steady supply of nutrients in your diet, helps your brain handle stress better therefore it benefits your entire body. Some of the best foods for natural stress relief are: foods high in B vitamins, food high in calcium and magnesium, high protein foods and healthy fats.
5. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Cognitive behavioural therapy, is a type of therapeutic practice that has been proven to lower anxiety, stress and multiple disorders - including addiction, eating disorders, insomnia and depression. So if you're ever feeling over-stressed or anxious there is always someone you can talk to about it, to help you cope with your daily struggles.
6. Time in nature and being social.
Making time for connecting with the people around you, spending time outside and doing things you love with family, friends and your partner are all stress relievers that are good for your health in many ways. As long as you keep a close bond with your family and friends, you will always feel less stressed and you will be able to share your stress with your loved ones.
7. Keeping a diary.
A diary is an easy, effective way to monitor your state of mind throughout the day, focus on thoughts that cause you harm and figure out what’s really bothering you when you’re unsure.
8. Using herbs and essential oils.
There are several adaptogenic herbs and essential oils have been shown, to improve anxiety symptoms by reducing the effects that stress and cortisol have on the body. These oils can be lavender, myrrh, frankincense and bergamot which are also good to help with sleep and anxiety.
