10 things only makeup addicts on a budget will understand
As a university student with a passion and obsession with all things makeup, it can be hard to incorporate your favourite products into an already pretty tight budget. Here are some things you just might be able to relate to if you’re in the same position as me.
1. When you run out of your expensive “going out” foundation so you have to stick to your every day one until your funds are up.
2. When you’re absolutely dying for a new Morphe palette but instead you have to find a far less pigmented dupe to at least curb your cravings.
3. When you’d rather buy a new MAC lipstick than eat for a week.
4. Likewise, when your Velvet Teddy MAC lipstick is on the edge of its existence so you only keep it for special occasions.
5. When all the Benefit gift sets you got for Christmas have run out and you can’t afford to replace them. It’s back to your four-year-old glitter bronzer until you have enough money for a new one.
6. When you spend hours watching Nikkietutorials knowing full well you’ll never be able to create her looks with your £4 eyeshadow palette. A girl can dream, right?
7. When your birthday/Christmas lists say: MAKEUP, MAKEUP, MAKEUP, start to finish, but that's okay because you don't want anything else.
8. When you run out of your favourite eyebrow product after rationing it for the last month and there is nothing that will fill the void in your heart. Brows no longer on fleek. May they rest in peace.
9. The pure joy when you find out Beauty Bay are having a sale and the discount is on your favourite product. Hallelujah. Best…day…EVER!
10. When you go shopping with your mum and see your favourite product and she’s like, ‘I’ll get it,’ and you literally feel like she is the reincarnation of baby Jesus.
